The new Málaga CF coach got to work during his first training session at the helm of the Malaguista squad.
José González took the reins of Málaga CF for this Monday afternoon training session. The new Blue and Whites’ coach met with the squad before heading on to the field of play at La Rosaleda’s Annexe to begin pitch work. The players underwent a warm-up, exercises using the ball, followed by a mini-match.
The Malaguista coach was on top of his players during the entire session, giving directions and correcting the footballers, with the objective of assimilating the concepts as quickly as possible.
Borja exercised in the gym today, as he continues his recovery from the injury to his right calf muscle. Meanwhile, Rolan proceeds with the conservative treatment to the Achilles tendon injury in his right foot. Chory (discomfort to right foot) and Iturra (discomfort to biceps in his left leg), also trained in the gym, as did Juankar who continues his recuperation following the meniscus surgery in his right knee.
Homegrown players; Aqbar, Kellyan (goalkeeper), and the usual Mula and En-Nesyri trained with the first team under the orders of José González.
Club vice president, Nasser Al-Thani, and CEO of the MCF Academy, Hamyan Al-Thani, followed the first training session with José González heading up the team.
