The Club has decided to end the contractual relationship with coach, José Alberto López. This Monday afternoon, both parties met at La Rosaleda’s offices to make the decision effective immediately.
The Club has been forced to take this measure in search of a change in the team dynamic, with the aim of improving the results. As from tomorrow, Funes, who currently manages Atlético Malagueño, will coach the first team on a temporary basis until a new coach is signed.
Málaga Club de Fútbol would like to recognise the great work carried out by José Alberto López, together with Pablo Álvarez and Pedro García, at the helm of the first team, and thanks them for their commitment and professionalism. In addition, we regret that the results have not accompanied the hard work undertaken by the coach and his staff.
