The MCF Academy footballer played his second match with Spain’s U-17s in the European Championship taking place in Hungary.
Izan Merino was part of Julen Guerrero's starting-11 in the match against Slovenia, held in Budapest, which ended in a 3-1 win for the national team.
The Blue and White Juvenil player, who was shown the yellow card in the second half, played for 62 minutes, and was substituted by his teammate Javichu.
Marc Guiu, Óscar Mesa and Lamine Yamal, from the penalty spot, scored Spain’s goals in their second Group B game of the tournament.
Spain have won a total of six points and will close the group stage this coming Wednesday, at 17:00, against Serbia.
