Intense training for Málaga CF as youth academy players join the session

Málaga Club de Fútbol was back in training this morning at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium, an intense session with La Academia’s Aarón, Iván Rodríguez, Pablo and Mula present.

The session consisted of continuous running, stretching and a physical training circuit using pikes, hurdles and the ball.  The players were then divided into groups, on one side focusing on two against two mini-matches, and the other on strength training.  The session ended with a practice match using four small goal areas and another match using a regular-sized goal area.  Sergio Sánchez, Antunes and Rosales, along with La Academia players, Iván Rodríguez, Pablo and Mula began their workout in the gym today and later on the pitch under the instruction of physical trainer, Enrique Ruiz, and gradually incorporated into the group, apart from Rosales.  Goalkeepers, Kameni, Cousillas and Aarón underwent specific training under the watchful eye of goalkeeping coach, Íñigo Arteaga.

Flávio, Chen and Tissone continued with their recovery from injury, along with Amrabat, whilst five internationals remain absent: Camacho, Santa Cruz, Ricardo Horta, Ochoa and Juanpi.

The team is back in training tomorrow from 10 a.m. at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium.
