Press conference
“I hope to see our best version to be able to win in Las Palmas”

Málaga CF coach, Sergio Pellicer held a press conference the day before #LasPalmasMálaga. “I hope to see our best version as we’ll need it to win there,” he said.

“It's a tough week. But there are two ways to face this situation. Give up or fight. And we’re going to fight. We are there. We have to divide the remainder of the competition into four blocks of three matches. Then we have two at home. We have to know how to control that rollercoaster,” he started out by saying.

Pellicer believes in his team. “I remain in a bubble. I understand everything, but Big Data gives us very few possibilities. These are just words, but we have to be aware of the situation and fight with the commitment that we’re seeing,” he declared.

“Everything is possible. If I didn't feel it and didn't think about it... There are many hours of work. We’re going to give our all. We want to convey hunger, humility and belief. It's time to take on everything, that's what we’re here for. This is football and we all have a very big responsibility to fight,” he added.

Pellicer sees a 12-game league divided “into four blocks. A lot of things happen in this division, but we have to be reliant on ourselves. We need to accumulate a number of points and think of the next one (block). We professionals have to turn this situation around. The focus now is on this first block of matches,” he stated.

Regarding tomorrow's rival, “the standings say it all. Due to the history and philosophy of the club, they are the owners of the ball. And this season they are focusing on moving up. They have a great deal of potential, but also weaknesses. At their stadium we’ve seen that they have had two defeats. We have to manage a different situation, and maintain possession in the areas where we can hurt them. It will depend on our balance. I hope to see our best version to be able to win in Las Palmas,” he said about UD Las Palmas.

In terms of a weekly summary, the manager stated: “There have been many positives between us this week. I think we can be a team that becomes more of a winner than a loser. I see a group that conveys one thing to me and then, as happens in football, there can be many cracks. But what I see is good. We have to embrace discomfort,” he concluded.
