History meets at La Rosaleda

Today, the Málaga CF Foundation presented gifts to the wives and children of CD Málaga players from the 50s and 60s.

Málaga Club de Fútbol wanted to pay tribute to various players who marked an era with CD Málaga in the 50s and 60s.

The MCF Foundation held the event in which Club advisers, Antonio Benítez and Abdallah Ben Barek were present, along with legendary CD Málaga player, Antonio González ‘Chuzo’.

Players, Bernardi, Bruna, Cabral, Del Río, Lorenzo, Pellicer, Pepillo García, Pipi and Sande, were represented at the ceremony by their respective families.

The Juan Cortés press room at La Rosaleda was the location chosen by the Blue and Whites’ Foundation, for the Club advisers to present a gift to the family members of each player.

The families were later photographed next to the ‘Flecha Azul’, the CD Málaga bus from the 60s, which the majority of represented players used to travel on during Blue and Whites’ trips all over Spain.

Lastly, the guests enjoyed a visit to the Club’s Museum to see all the memorabilia, bringing an end to a very emotional day.
