February is Carnival month and since last year has also been synonymous with the Coplas Malaguistas contest. Among the numerous joint activities of the MCF Foundation and Fundación del Carnaval de Málaga planned for this year’s event, all Malaguista lyricists are invited to get involved and chat and sing about their beloved Club.

The Coplas Malaguistas competition will be held in person this year, taking place on Monday 28th February at 17:30 at the Plaza de la Constitución, within the Carnaval de Málaga activities. A colourful show in which all those who register will delight the city with their Blue and White compositions.
The judging panel in charge of choosing the #CoplaMalaguista 2022 will be made up of five members, selected by Málaga CF and the Fundación Ciudadana del Carnaval de Málaga (FCCM), and a secretary, appointed by the latter.
The participants whose lyrics win first prize in the Pasodoble Sentimiento Malaguista #CoplaMalaguista competition will win an official Málaga CF jersey featuring ‘Mejor Copla Malaguista’, as well as the chance to record their composition on the pitch at La Rosaleda Stadium for the Club’s official cameras. They’ll also perform their piece during half-time of a match at Martiricos.
