Focus on finishing exercises in reduced spaces

Homegrown players Iván Jaime, Keidi Bare and ‘juvenil’ goalkeeper Alfonso completed this Wednesday morning’s session. Juankar sustained a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of the right knee and was not part of group training.

The Malaguistas kicked off training this morning at 10:00 at La Rosaleda’s Annexe with the usual warm-up. Later, Muñiz divided his players into two groups to complete a physical circuit and defence-attack exercises on a reduced-sized pitch.

Homegrown players Iván Rodríguez, Jack Harper, Iván Jaime, Keidi Bare and Alfonso (goalkeeper) were in first team training today. As was Hicham, although he received therapeutic treatment and exercised in the gym as part of his recovery, along with Renato Santos (muscular injury to right quadriceps). Mula was out of the group dynamic due to his meniscal injury.

Juankar didn’t take part in training with his teammates this morning due to a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of the right knee, sustained towards the end of yesterday’s training session. Lombán completed the first part of the session in the gym for prevention and stepped on to the pitch for the latter part of training.

Goalkeeping coach, Toni Mengual arranged highly technical training for the four goalkeepers who completed the session: Munir, Kieszek, Andrés Prieto and Alfonso (Juvenil División de Honor keeper).

The players will return to training tomorrow, Thursday (10:00, La Rosaleda) to continue preparations for Sunday’s clash with UD Las Palmas.
