Family of Pepe Arias make emotional visit to the MCF Museum & Tour
The day before the Málaga-Levante match, where a minute’s silence was held in memory of former captain of CD Málaga Pepe Arias, members of his family and other former team mates visited the MCF Museum & Tour.
Francisco Martín Aguilar and honorary President of the Association of Málaga ex-players Antonio Benítez, hosted the visit. As well as Benítez himself, other former team mates of Arias accompanied his family on La Rosaleda tour, namely Antonio Robles, Torreblanca, Paquito, Muñoz, Pepillo Benítez and Santi 'Chato' Aragón, who was very emotional at the loss of his great friend.
Family and friends of Pepe Arias visited the Club’s press room, the upper stands with a view of the whole stadium, saw over a hundred year’s worth of Málaga’s history in the audiovisual room, as well as Club trophies. The veterans greeted Miguel Zambrana, son of the legendary Pepillo Zambrana, who was in charge of CD Málaga material during Arias’s time with the team.
At the end of the tour, Martín Aguilar presented Pepe Arias’s family with a number 5 Blues and Whites shirt.
