The player signed his contract at La Rosaleda Stadium’s offices, accompanied by the Club’s sporting director, Loren Juarros.
Josué Dorrio Ortega (Bilbao, 3rd March 1994) is a fast, direct, and skilful right-sided attacker, capable of playing across both flanks in offensive positions.
At the start of his career, he came through Lezama, spending four years with Athletic Club de Bilbao between 2204 and 2008. At the senior level, he began his professional journey with Bermeo (2013–16), CD Vitoria (2016/17), and SD Eibar during their stint in the First Division (2017).
He then went on to gain further experience with Club Portugalete, Lorca FC, Real Murcia CF, CF Talavera, and RB Linense, before joining SD Amorebieta in the 2022/23 season. With the Basque side, he achieved promotion to the Second Division as outright champions of the Primera Federación.
Over the past two seasons, he has featured in 82 of 84 matches in Spain’s second tier, starting 75 of them, with SD Amorebieta (2023/24) and Racing de Ferrol (2024/25). At both clubs, he coincided with another of Málaga’s summer signings, Eneko Jauregi.
