Malaga Football Club, in a simple and moving ceremony held at the Hotel Meliá Valencia where the malaguista first team stayed before this Saturday’s league game against Valencia,(Mestalla, 22 pm), honored the memory of José Portalés. The family of the iconic lateral defender of the now extinct Club Deportivo Málaga, recently died in Valencia soil, received a blue and white shirt with the number 3 and the name ‘Portalés’ on the back, from the hands of members of the Club’s Advisary Council, José Carlos Pérez and Francisco Martín Aguilar. “He will always be in the memory of malaguistas”, stated Martín Aguilar to Portalés emotional widow who was accompanied by, among others, his sons José and Amparo (Jorge, his third son was unable to be present).
