Málaga CF taking part in LaLiga’s Retro Matchday
LaLiga will be the only one of Europe’s five major leagues to launch an initiative of this scale, combining football and fashion. The event will be presented on 19th March during Spanish fashion week as a celebration of its legacy beyond sport.
LaLiga will celebrate the first Retro Matchday in its history from 10th to 13th April 2026, during which the 38 participating clubs will wear special kits that have marked their respective legacies.
Málaga CF will also take part in this initiative, coinciding with matchday 35 of LaLiga Hypermotion, where they will face UD Las Palmas at La Rosaleda Stadium. The team will wear a historic shirt, with details to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
This Retro Matchday is inspired by the concept of “a living legacy”, turning the history of the clubs into an experience that is felt, celebrated, and worn on the pitch, forming “the collection that never goes out of style.”
These participating kits will be unveiled on 19th March at MBFWMadrid, the leading event of Spanish fashion week.
