Diego González can’t wait to get back on the pitch

The Blue and White central defender is training at home and tells MCFTV how he’s getting on and how much he wants to return to the pitch.

Diego González is training hard at home. The defender from Cádiz spends two and a half hours a day in training to stay in shape. He’ll full of positivity and good humour. “Training at home has been great. I’m comfortable doing it, it isn’t becoming a chore. I put the music on the TV and get on with it. I usually train around two to two and a half hours a day, depending on what the physical trainers send us”, he says.

“I tend to train alone most days, although sometimes my dad gets on the bike next to me and also my mum trains to the music”, adds the Blue and White defender.

Diego doesn’t hide his desire to return to La Rosaleda: “I miss training with my teammates, I miss the pitch and training with the ball. I have a little patch of grass at home, but obviously it isn’t the same”.
