Málaga CF Femenino suffered a 3-0 defeat by Real Sociedad Femenino in the second Liga Iberdrola match of the season held at Zubieta (San Sebastián).
The match kicked off with both teams disputing possession. However, just six minutes into play the locals took the lead thanks to a penalty scored by Nahikari to go 1-0 up on the scoreboard. Antonio Contreras’ girls sought to dominate the ball and solidly resolved the rival’s attempts. However, the score remained the same at half time, 1-0.
Luck wasn’t on the Malaguistas’ side in the second half. The Blue and Whites were far more active with Mayara on the field of play in place of Marta Cazalla. Despite their attempts to go level, Paola Soldevila made it 2-0 by surprising the Málaga defence. The visitors reinforced their attacking strategy and in 58’ Minori came on in place of Encarni. Contreras’ final change was Natalia for Dominika. The Mexican brought rhythm to the game and Mascaró, who was the stand out player for the Blue and Whites for her numerous actions in front of the txuri-urdin goal, tried her luck.
The Blue and Whites couldn’t do much when in 78’ Nahikari sentenced the match by scoring the final 3-0 in a one-on-one with Chelsea. Málaga CF Femenino will begin preparing from tomorrow for the next Liga Iberdrola game against Real Betis Féminas.
