Cristo Jesús Romero Gómez (30-04-2000, Algeciras - Cádiz) arrived at the MCF Academy in the Infantil category in 2012/13. Since then, the defender has trained in the Club’s youth ranks until his dream debut in an official match with the first team, on 12th October 2019 against Cádiz CF at La Rosaleda.
Agile, pacey and vertical, thanks to his professionalism and consistency ,Cristo has earned a place among the group of deserving homegrown players who are regular fixtures in first team training sessions and squad lists. The left-back, despite having suffered a groin injury which kept him out of action for several months, accumulated 267 minutes (five games) in LaLiga SmartBank 19/20.
Cristo, whose contract was still in force, extends his relationship with the Club for three more seasons, thereby reinforcing his union with MCF until 2023.
