Comeback to return to winning ways (3-1)

Another three points for Málaga CF at home on matchday 19 of Primera Nacional Femenina. Carmen Gómez, Teté and Silvia Mérida scored the Malaguista goals.

Málaga were up against Extremadura CF on Primera Nacional Femenina matchday 19. The starting-11 at the Roma Luz consisted of: María Arrabal; Marina, Farfán, Clo, María Cortés, Torralvo, Teté, Carmen Gómez, Ruth ©, Judith and Silvia Mérida. 

Extremadura got off to a determined start on the pitch at the Roma Luz ground, taking the lead in 4’ thanks to Laura Carrasco. At half-time the visitors held on to their advantage, whereas in the second half, an intense MCFF soon went level.

Another goal for Carmen Gómez this season to equalise for the home side in 47’ (1-1). Midway through the second half, in 70’, Teté made it 2-1 on the scoreboard.

Finally, with Extremadura stepping up their attack in the closing stages, our girls made the most of it to score again, the work of Silvia Mérida in the 90th minute, to seal the 3-1 win.

Following the second draw of the season, Málaga Femenino have obtained another League victory this 21/22 season. Ayala’s girls have 53 out of a possible 57 points. The Primera Nacional Group 4 leaders are away to San Miguel for their next match.
