Clear victory against Huétor Tájar (4-1)

Atlético Malagueño achieved a superb victory against Huétor Tájar in the ninth match for Third Division Group IX. The 4-1 win leaves Josep Clotet’s boys in second place in the Division.

The Blue and Whites reserve team were intent on dominating the match from the start, and continuing with their good run of results.  Malagueño didn’t hesitate in taking control of the game, creating goal chances and completely dominating their rival.

Following various goal opportunities, it was Emilio Guerra who scored in the 17th minute from outside the penalty area, straight past the Huétor Tájar keeper.  Atlético Malagueño put on an impressive display, with Samu García taking advantage of another goal opportunity after half an hour.  Clotet’s team then slowed down the pace a little, creating fewer chances to score.

The Blue and Whites got off to another great start in the second half, keeping the pressure on the opponent.  However a goal from Antonio in the 64th minute put Huétor Tájar on the score board for the first time in this match.  A third goal for Malagueño by Jurado in minute 84 saw them gain a 3-1 lead, though a subsequent header straight into goal by Diego sealed Atlético Malagueño’s victory, leaving them in second position in the Division.
