City Hall joins the Club in its request for more public and private investment

Málaga City Hall increases its financial contribution this 22/23 season, at sponsorship level, continuing its policy of supporting Málaga CF.

The Hall of Mirrors at Málaga City Hall held this event attended by mayor of the capital Francisco De la Torre, and the judicial administrator of the Entity, José María Muñoz.

The mayor highlighted the importance of the “financial effort made” to sponsor the Club for another year, a figure that exceeds two million euros (2.2m) adding that from last season and this one. “Being in the First Division would have a very direct economic effect, and would bring great joy to the city and the entire province of Málaga,” said De la Torre.

“We care about efficiency, social cohesion and stimulating education,” added the mayor, who specified that the increase in the City Hall’s sponsorship (1.5 million euros) for the 21/22 campaign “adds to what is already there. We keep what we have to be part of that special amount”, encouraging the rest of the institutions and companies in Malaga to join the Blue and White project to reach “those three million euros, which must be achieved by any means possible,” added José María Muñoz.

Muñoz himself stressed the need to “continue working with institutions and businesses,” encouraging Málaga firms to join the Club. The official presentation of the agreement between the Club and City Hall seeks to encourage public and private investment to take a step forward, all together, for the benefit of the city's first team and the entire province of Málaga.
