CD Cultural Asako de Motril is Málaga CF Femenino’s first rival in the Copa Andalucía
The first national team of Málaga CF Femenino will face CD Cultural Asako de Motril in the first stage of the regional tournament, the III Copa de Andalucía Femenina Sénior, on 3rd June at 20:00 in Peligros (Granada).
Málaga CF Femenino will begin their journey in one of the most important competitions of the season, the Copa de Andalucía. Following a meeting held yesterday at the Royal Andalusian Football Federation’s headquarters in Sevilla, the foundations of the regional tournament were established, and the pairings were announced between the nine teams that make up the III Copa de Andalucía Femenina Sénior.
As such, the Blue and Whites will come up against CD Cultural Asako de Motril, who competes in the Second Provincial Division of Granada. The first clash between these rivals will take place on 3rd June at 20:00, at Antonio Bailón Municipal Ground located in Peligros (Granada).
Game system and pairings
During yesterday’s meeting, it was revealed that one of the teams that was going to participate in the competition, Pozoalbense, left the tournament. Therefore, and after the last-minute registration to the Cup by Real Betis Féminas and Cádiz CF Femenino, the regional tournament was established with nine teams. As this is an odd number, the committee decided that Real Betis Féminas and Cádiz CF Femenino play a match before the championship kicks off to determine which one will definitively compete in the Copa Andalucía, in order to have an even number of teams in the running.
As such, following the match between the Sevilla and Cádiz-based teams, the pairings will be as follows:
