The international friendly between Spain and Switzerland was held at the Guillermo Amor stadium in Benidorm, with José Lana debuting as Spain coach.
The new coach selected Malaguista right winger, Carlos in his first starting-11, who was substituted in minute 67 of play. Another Blue and White ‘Cadete’, left-back Miguel, came on in the second half, in the 46th minute, and played the remainder of the match.
Spain’s Under-16s enjoyed a big 3-0 win against Switzerland with goals from Paco Esteban (2) – son of the former Malaguista player with the same football name – and Adri Heredia.
The ‘Rojita’ U-16s will be in action again tomorrow, Thursday at 11:00 at the same location and against the same rival.
