Camacho: “We’ve got a good chance on Tuesday to change the run of results”

The captain reflects on the last 24 hours after the previous match, with just two days to go until the clash with Eibar: “The dressing room is very united”.

Reflections after the match

“It’s clear that 24 hours after the match, the sensations are different.  The team went all out for the match.  The rival barely created any opportunities, and I don’t think you can take anything away from our team’s attitude.  I think this is the way forward.  The victories will come, the ball will go in and that’s that.  There’s no need to think any more about it.”

Way forward

“When things don’t go to plan, there’s talk of systems, anxiety and looking for blame.  We’re all to blame, we must change the course of the team, and the only thing lacking is a good result so the players can give everything they’ve got.  I have total confidence in this squad, and this is the way forward.”

Next match against Eibar

“The first ones to get angry are the players.  We’ve got another match on Tuesday, and another chance to gain three points.  It’s a good opportunity to change the opinion of the people, to continue gaining confidence in ourselves, and change this run of results.”

United dressing room

“We’re a small family, and being united is very important.  New people have arrived, as well as a new coach, so his ideas and the characteristics of the latest signings need to be implemented now.  Hard work will reap rewards, which is what we’re trying to do.  We hope our work during the pre-season will pay off, and from the last four games, even though they didn’t go well, the team can take away positives, one of which is that the dressing room is very united.”

Fans

“The fans need to trust us, we always do our best on the pitch and they’re always grateful.  What’s important are the three points, winning matches and feeling good on the field of play.  Confidence will increase with the three points, and I’m sure the fans will leave the stadium happy.”
