The bulk of Málaga CF’s 2017/18 pre-season calendar has now been organised. As in previous seasons, the Málaga locality of Benahavís will host the first stage of the Blue and Whites’ pre-season, as the team returns to training after the summer holiday.
The first team players will be staying at Gran Hotel Benahavís (from 6th to 14th July), the usual location each pre-season. An idyllic natural paradise to practice sport, with unrivalled facilities and a tranquil atmosphere.
First friendly: Sheffield United
The first part of the pre-season will come to an end on Friday 14th July with a friendly against Sheffield United. Míchel’s men will welcome the British side at the José Burgos municipal stadium in Coín at 19:30.
Holland
Following the first phase of the pre-season, the Malaguistas will head to Holland on 19th July, staying at Hotel Bilderberg Groot Heideborg, in Garderen. The Blue and Whites have confirmed their participation in the quadrangular competition, the Schauinsland Reisen Cup, in Duisburg, on Sunday 23rd July. MSV Duisburg, Aston Villa FC and Hertha Berlín are the Malaguistas’ rivals in the tournament. On 29th July, the team will return to Málaga to continue the pre-season.
