Following a day off yesterday, Málaga CF returned to training this Monday morning at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. It was a recovery session for the starting players in Barcelona, and nearly a two-hour session for the rest of the team.
Every player from the starting line-up against Espanyol underwent a less intense session than the others, based on continuous running and stretching exercises. Amrabat, who started the session in the gym, later joined the rest of the team for a normal session.
Following a physical first half of the session, the team later prioritised ball work and mini-matches on reduced sized pitches, with the presence of reserve team players; Aarón, Pablo and Ontiveros integrated into the group. The only players not physically fit, Flávio and Camacho, focused on recovery treatment away from the group dynamic, with the latter undergoing continuous running on the pitch.
The second session of the week kicks off tomorrow morning from 10 at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium.
