Back to La Rosaleda for an afternoon training session

The Málaga CF squad resumed training this Monday, following a day off on Sunday, at La Rosaleda Stadium’s Annexe. The starting players from Saturday’s game in Granada trained at a less intense pace than the rest of the group.

Before stepping on to the Annexe pitch (18:45), there was a video session for around half an hour. On a very hot afternoon, and with the second visit in recent days by former Blue and White Gerardo García León, the players underwent the first training session at Martiricos this pre-season.

Initial physical work followed by technical training with the ball took precedence for Pablo Guede’s men. All the players who were in the starting line-up for the Ciudad de Granada Cup clash trained at a less intense pace than the rest of the team, which again included Adrián López (not registered). Outside the group, continuing with his recovery was Pablo Chavarría, under the supervision of physical trainer, Toni Tapia.

The usual homegrown players in action this pre-season were in training today, namely: goalkeepers Carlos López and Arturo; defenders Andrés Caro, Moussa and Víctor Olmo; midfielders Álex Rico and Dani Lorenzo; wingers Issa Fomba and Haitam; and centre forward Loren Zúñiga.

Málaga CF will return to training tomorrow, Tuesday at 09:30, at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
