Atlético Malagueño spectacularly defeats Juventud Torremolinos (5-0)
Atlético Malagueño defeated Juventud Torremolinos by 5-0 this Sunday afternoon, in the fifth match of Group IX of the Third Division, held in the Malagueña Federation ground.
Atlético Malagueño was determined to win this game from the start, showing an incisive attacking display and precise game play. The first Málaga goal came from Samu, who took advantage of a ball outside the penalty area following a corner kick by Cala, five minutes into the match.
Only five minutes later, Emilio scored the second goal for the Blue and Whites, following impressive play by Samu Castillejo, who was very active on the attack. Atlético Malagueño continued to dominate the game, maintaining possession and creating goal chances. The visitors had their first chance to score in minute 33, however a spectacular save by goalkeeper Pol, prevented Javi from getting his team on the score board in the first half. The Blue and Whites continued to create goal opportunities before the half-time whistle, however a shot by Portillo just before the break went over the bar.
Atlético Malagueño took their time to regain the rhythm they showed on the pitch in the first half, allowing the visitors to take advantage of goal chances, though they were unable to get through the Pol defence. However in the 61st minute, Jurado scored the goal of the match, slamming the ball into the back of the net, to score the Blue and Whites’ third goal.
Josep Clotet’s team continued to maintain possession, and scored another two goals before the final whistle, the first by Emilio, and Mauri scoring the fifth and final Malaguista goal, two minutes after he joined the match.
Atlético Malagueño has now achieved their first home win, now having eight points, having improved their goal difference. The team is travelling to Jaén for their next match against CD Martos, who today defeated CD El Palo at home by 0-1.
