Atlético Malagueño sign four new players

Josep Clotet’s Atlético Malagueño now has four new players for 2012-13, as well as another two players returning to the Blue and Whites who were on loan to Vélez CF and UD Estepona: Álvaro Oliver ‘Oli’ and Alex Portillo, currently in Campoamor with the first team. The new additions to the second team are Sergi Darder, Juanjo Serrano, Marc Caballé and Jose Antonio Ruiz “Pirulo”.

Sergi Darder Moll (Artà –Mallorca- 22nd December 1993).   A midfielder, a playmaker on the pitch, coming from RCD Espanyol.  “Being at a Champions League Club like Málaga CF is a step forward in my career.”
Juanjo Serrano de la Cruz Vidal (Lérida, 17th January 1993).  Centre-forward from Aston Villa.  “I’ll try my best to play as many matches as possible with Atlético Malagueño, and bring continuity to the team, good quality gameplay and slick passing.”

Marc Caballé Naranjo (Hospitalet, 22nd June 1991).  Left winger, just arrived from Atlético de Madrid, good on the attack and good vision.  “I hope I can help Atlético Malagueño achieve as much as possible and gain promotion.”
Jose Antonio Ruiz López “PIRULO” (Los Barrios -Cádiz- 17th April 1992).  Midfielder, creates goal chances - from RCD Espanyol.  “Our aim is to gain promotion to Second Division B, and hopefully play for the first team in the future.”
Atlético Malagueño’s pre-season officially gets underway on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the annexe of La Rosaleda stadium, though certain players have already begun this week.  The runners-up of the Copa del Rey juvenil, return to work on Monday following a week’s holiday.

Amongst the players who return to work on Monday under Josep Clotet, is young goalkeeper Pol Ballesté (Barcelona, 22nd August 1995).  The keeper, from FC Barcelona, competes throughout the season in División de Honor Juvenil.
