Despite not creating many goal opportunities, Atlético Malagueño definitely took the reigns from the start, against a skilled team who didn’t make many mistakes.  The locals demonstrated an impressive defensive display against a team who were intent on maintaining a forceful attack.
 
The Blue and Whites increased the rhythm of their game play in the second half, upped their movement near the penalty area and created more goal attempts.  Following a tackle by Samu, the ball hit a defender’s hand and the referee awarded a penalty to the Blue and Whites.  Emilio Guerra scored to give Malagueño a 1-0 lead, and from that point on, they really took control of the match and created further chances at goal in an attempt to increase their lead, even moreso after Ramón was sent off.  Both teams ended the match with just ten men, after Samu was also shown a red card.

This win moves the ‘Malaguistas’ into sixth position with 12 points.
