Antoñín: “This is where I want to be for a long time to come”

The Blue and White forward appeared before the media as a professionally registered player who has renewed with Málaga CF until 2023. “It’s an honour for me, a great joy for my family and my neighbourhood”, he stated.

Malagueño and Malaguista

“It’s been great, I’ve been with my family and representatives. From the outset I wanted to be at the Club where I am now and where I want to be for a long time to come”.

From the reserve team to professional

“The situation has changed a great deal. In six months, I’ve gone from being part of the reserve team to having a professional registration with the first team. I’m thrilled”.

Proud of the renewal

It’s an honour for me, a great joy for my family and my neighbourhood, being able to play at the Club I’ve dreamed about since I was young. It’s wonderful and I’ll continue to work hard to remain here for many years”.

Congratulations

“My family, friends, the entire neighbourhood, everyone has been congratulating me. I’m very happy and want to keep working hard”.

Hard-working mentality

“My challenge is to continue working, we need to achieve more. I don’t give myself challenges, just to keep working, keep going and keep doing more.

“I left the bench as that’s what the coach decided. These are technical decisions. I have to continue working to be in the starting-11 again”.

Messages from his family

“They said it’s the best thing that could have happened as it’s what I’ve wanted since I was young, and my dream has come true. The people around me are delighted”.

Statements by Manolo Gaspar, sports director

“When I took on the role a while ago, I said one of my first objectives was to make Antonio professional. Without the market open it couldn’t be accomplished, and the action had to be analysed with the league. We’ve always had a motto that says that if we don’t improve what we already have, nobody will come here. Achieving this goal and using registration number 18 is twice as good. The lad has earned it and we can count on homegrown players from an impressive batch of talent. It also sends out a message to the youth ranks that, by having clear goals, by working hard and wanting to play for Málaga, you can achieve it. Antoñín is a player who shows he wants to play for Málaga every weekend”.
