Antoñín: professional, renews until 2023

The young forward will have a professional registration on the first team, on what is a clear commitment by the Club to the MCF Academy. The player renews his association with the Entity until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The best signing is at home. Following the departure of Keko Gontán, the 18th registered member of the Blue and White first team is a product of the fruitful Malagueña and Malaguista youth ranks. For the remainder of this season and the following three years, La Rosaleda will continue to enjoy Antoñín’s dribbling and goals as a member of the Blue and White first team in his own right.

After being part of various teams in the province in the lower categories, Antonio Cortés Heredia ‘Antoñín’ (Málaga, 2000) arrived at Málaga CF in the 17/18 campaign – from CD 26 de Febrero – playing in the División de Honor de juveniles. Following a brief spell with the former CD EL Palo, he returned to the Club last season alternating between Juvenil ‘A’ and Atlético Malagueño. The explosion of Antoñín arrived in the present Liga SmartBank 19/20 season, settling in as part of the MCF reserve team after debuting in Albacete on 21st September 2019. Up to now, he has scored four goals in 18 games (1.308 minutes) in the Second Division, with a notable performance as a striker and on either wing.

At just 19 years of age, he has already become one of the icons of the loyal Malaguista fans, for his football background formed in the neighbourhood of La Palmilla. The MCF Academy and the Club’s grassroots football is in celebration! Congratulations, Antoñín!
