Antoñín is back!

The forward who trained in the MCF Academy returns on loan from Granada CF for a year. The Malagueño, and self-confessed Malaguista, immediately joins the Blue and White discipline.

Antonio Cortés Heredia ‘Antoñín’ (16/4/2000) is a benchmark player on the attack who can play in different attacking positions. His speed, intelligence and innate sense of goal make him a versatile footballer capable of adapting to different systems of play.

In addition, Antoñín is a true Malaguista. The player arrived at the MCF Academy from CD 26 de Febrero in the 17/18 season at ‘juvenil’ age. Since then, the striker has grown substantially until his debut with the Blue and White first team on 29/9/2019 against Albacete BP at the Carlos Belmonte. In the 19/20 season (when he made his debut), he played 22 LaLiga SmartBank matches, scoring four goals.

Following a season in which he graduated ‘with honours’, the homegrown player was transferred to Granada CF in an operation of crucial economic importance for Málaga CF. During his time away from his hometown, Antoñín has taken part in eight First Division games and another 27 in the Second Division on loan to Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, scoring one and six goals respectively. He also made his debut with Spain’s U-21s on 3 September against North Macedonia.

Antoñín has matured considerably as a player since his departure. Today he returns home to continue his growth as a player. There’s no better place.

Welcome back, Antonio!
