Antoñín: “I work with humility”

The Malaguista forward held a press conference following this morning’s training session at the Ciudad de Málaga: “There’s no pressure. We’re working well and will continue to do so”, he stated.

Focused on Alcorcón

“The week is going well, we’re working hard for the match at the weekend. It’s true that we’ve had some difficulties due to the absence of players through international duty and injury, but we hope to regain players during the week and approach the match well”.

Adapting to his role in the team

“It still feels strange as I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly, but little by little I’m adapting by working hard”.

Camaraderie

“Day to day my teammates help me to keep giving my all, so I don’t relax for one second and I continue training hard”.

Humility

“I’m getting along well as I always keep my feet on the ground, and I know where I came from. Indeed, the Malaguista fans support me a great deal which I truly appreciate. You always have to keep your feet on the ground and work with humility”.

Youth teams reap the rewards

“You always need to work as hard as possible in every match and in every training session. The coach watches the reserve team games, he’s always observing and, if you work well, in the end you reap the rewards”.

Work, work and more work

There’s no pressure. We’re working well and will continue to do so. The coach says we’ve been training well for several weeks and the goals will come. I don’t need to feel any pressure, if I do my best the goals will arrive, by training hard of course”.

Versatility

“I feel good either way as I’ve played as a reference with the reserve team. I’m comfortable both as a reference player and behind Sadiku”.
