Santi Denia’s Spain national squad suffered defeat in Caserta (3-0) against Italy, in a preparatory game for the Elite Round of qualification for the European Under-19 Championship.
Goalkeeper Álvaro Fernández (above image, top right) was in goal from the start – conceded the partial 1-0 – playing for the first 45 minutes, whilst Iván Jaime came on in the second half (62’), playing in midfield for the last half hour of play.
Both players, who trained at The MCF Academy, at ‘juvenil’ age, continue to be part of the plans of national youth team coaches.
