Adrián: “The balance is positive, we’re at the top”

The Blue and Whites’ midfielder held a press conference and analysed the next league rival, CD Lugo: “We’re going to try and win again at home with the support of our fans”.

First round: Positive review

“The balance is positive. We’re at the top, one point from the leaders and tied on points with Albacete, that’s to say we’re sharing second place. We’re on the right track for our set objective, which is to try and position ourselves at the top to be able to fight for something great. In a competition as tight as Liga 1|2|3, we’re seeing there are opportunities for everyone and I believe that we’re a consistent team that competes well, beyond those times when you can achieve better or worse results”.

Personal situation

“I’ve played in every match I’ve been available for, the only one I didn’t play was the other day. I consider myself an important player, that’s what the numbers say. Surprised? When you’ve played every game and all of a sudden you find yourself on the side lines, you don’t expect it. However, you immediately change your mindset as soon as you step on the pitch. It’s about helping the team and doing the best you can. I went in, I was able to help and score a goal to seal the win, which I think is positive. You have to draw positive conclusions from this, there’s competition, we’re a big group and the ones who play compete and help towards the objective, whish is important. This week we’re back to working hard and trying to make the decisions difficult for the coach to hopefully be in the starting line-up this coming weekend”.

Match against CD Lugo

“This weekend we have an opportunity against a rival who plays good football, but we’re at our home ground. We’re at home, with three very important points at stake, there are top of the table rivals facing each other and we’re going to try and win again at home with the support of our fans, which is always imperative. We can’t wait for Saturday to get back to La Rosaleda”.
