5 homegrown players integrated into a group of 24 footballers

Málaga CF was in training this morning between 10:30 and 12:00 at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. Reserve team players, Guille Lara, Kike Pina and Alfred, plus juveniles, Kellyan and Álex Benítez, were with the first team.

Following a predominantly physical start to the session inside the stadium, the Malaguista squad stepped on to the wet pitch – due to this morning’s rainfall – at the Ciudad de Málaga, giving priority to exercises using the ball. In training at full capacity were goalkeepers; Kameni, Boyko and homegrown keepers, Guille Lara and Kellyan, plus another 20, including defenders; Kike Pina and Álex Benítez (juvenil right-winger) and midfielder, Alfred.

Training separately from the group, Juanpi underwent specific work with the ball under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero. Duda remained in the gym today, as did Koné, who went running on the Alter-G treadmill. Kuzmanovic continues his recovery from injury in Switzerland – with the Club’s permission – and Peñaranda is with Venezuela’s under-20s preparing for the World Cup of the category, which kicks off on 20th May.

Tomorrow, Saturday from 10:30, Málaga will be in training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
