The ‘Alevines’ and ‘Benjamines’ from the youth academy won the I Lauro Cup, after defeating Tiro Pichon and La Mosca in the respective finals. Málaga CF’s ‘Cadetes’ were also proclaimed champions of the II ‘Estrellas’ Tournament held in Huetor Vega (Granada).

Málaga Club de Fútbol and Galatasaray Spor Külübu have come to an agreement for Nordin Amrabat (31/03/87, Naarden – Holland) to return to the Martiricos Club on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season. The Morrocan international will re-join the Blue and Whites following his loan period last season, with the attacking midfielder a key member of the team in the second round of the League competition, playing 15 matches, scoring two goals and five goal assists. Amrabat will be presented as a Blue and Whites’ player on Monday 1st September at 12 p.m. at La Rosaleda. Fans who would like to welcome the player can access the stadium via door 35 – gifts will be presented in the stands.

Málaga CF lost by 3-0 to Valencia CF in the 2nd BBVA League game of the season. This was an unfair defeat for the Blue and Whites, who put on a good performance and generated numerous goal opportunities, until minute 28 when the referee sent Sergi Darder off. Alcácer in the 31st minute, and Parejo after 45 minutes, scored before half-time. In the second half, Juanmi put the ‘Malaguistas’ on the scoreboard but the referee disallowed the goal for being offside. Piatti made it 3-0 for the home team. La Academia players, Samu Castillejo and Juanpi made their official debut at the Mestalla tonight..
