The pre-season for Málaga CF’s youth teams is now underway, with the summer tournaments kicking off to prepare the boys for the start of the League competition. The first year ‘Infantiles’ from the youth academy travelled to Bierbeek in Belgium today for the international tournament, the Euro-Bierbeek, which kicks off tomorrow, with major European clubs taking part, including Ajax, Chelsea, Everton and Schalke 04 amongst others.

<![CDATA[Miguel Torres named as new member of Málaga CF]]>

Málaga Club de Fútbol and Miguel Torres (Madrid, 28/01/1986) have reached an agreement for the Madrid-born defender to join the Blue and Whites for next season, with the option to extend the contract for another two seasons. The right back, who can also play in midfield due to his versatility, moved up the ranks of Real Madrid, where he made his debut in 2006/07. He remained with the Whites for three seasons, achieving one League title and one Spain ‘Supercopa’. In 2009/10, Miguel Torres signed to Getafe CF where he consolidated his game in the First Division and the Europa League. Last season, in 2013/14, Torres joined Olympiacos FC, winning the Greek Super League. The new ‘Malaguista’ will be officially presented on Monday 18th August at 12 p.m. at La Rosaleda’s press room.
