Uruguayan solidarity visit to Fuengirola

Players, Chory Castro and Fede Ricca, along with second coach, Marcelo Romero visited the Uruguay ‘caseta’ for a worthy cause, at Fuengirola’s International Fair.

Representatives from the Club attended the International Fair yesterday, taking place in Fuengirola from 28th April until 2nd May.  The Malaguistas were headed up by Uruguayan players, Chory Castro and Fede Ricca; accompanied by first team assistant coach, Marcelo ‘Gato’ Romero. Basti, from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, and Uruguayan players from Atlético Málaga, Pamela and Yamila were also in attendance.

Social and charitable purposes marked the visit to the Uruguay ‘Caseta’ – known as the best within the Costa del Sol fair – and the Málaga-based Consul of the South American country, Fátima Cortés, was in charge of looking after the guests.  The Club donated two Blue and Whites’ first team shirts in order to raise funds for the families of the Uruguayan city of Dolores, who have recently suffered the effects of a devastating tornado.
