The Veterans hold their Annual General Meeting

The Association of Ex-Málaga Footballers held their 2016 annual general meeting and their extraordinary general meeting in La Rosaleda’s press room.

The Association of the Club’s veterans, presided over by ex Blue and Whites player, Ernesto Terrón, was held yesterday (Monday) under the honorary presidency of consultant advisers Antonio Fernández Benítez and Abdullah Ben Barek. The majority of members were in attendance. There were members of the boars of directors, Emilio Pérez and Carlo Villar (Málaga CF veterans trainers), and ex-players such as Fernando Fernández and Koke Contreras, Luis Merino, Ayala ands Zúñiga, amongst others.

The order of the Annual General Meeting began with the reading and passing of the previous minutes, in order to examine and pass the state of the 2015 accounts, a review of the activities that took place in 2015, and the programme of planned activities for 2016. There was, of course, time allowed for proposals, requests and questions.

In the Extraordinary General Meeting, the current president, Ernesto Terrón, was re-elected and he will be naming a new board of directors in the next few days.

The team, in good shape

Málaga CF’s Association of Ex-footballers’ squad has played two games this month (February) in the Liga Lúdica Andaluza 2015/16. The seventh match (07/02/16) was a 5-0 victory against Marbesula Marbella in Cartama’s Ciudad Deportivo, with three goals from Dely Valdés, one from the centre of the pitch from Fernando and another one from Miguel Pineda.

Last weekend at the Antonio Basilio ground in Los Boliches, the Málaga veterans won their eighth home game. They did so with a 0-3 win, with goals from Manolo Gaspar, Richard y Ayala. The Blue and Whites side is the leader in the Liga Lúdica, with two games to go and with one point ahead of Estepona FC. Indeed, the last match of the championship will be the decisive Estepona-Málaga game (19-20th March).
