The 2nd Benjamín boys proclaimed champions of Andalucía

The MCF Academy side secured a big win against Real Betis in the grand final of the regional championships (0-6) to claim their first Andalusian title.

Málaga CF’s 2nd Benjamín team were named champions of Andalucía this Saturday. The squad, coached by Christian Galiana and Daniel Arriaza, defeated Real Betis by a superb 0-6 in the final held in Carchuna – Calahonda (Granada). In Friday’s semi-final, the Blue and Whites beat Córdoba CF by 6-0. With this win, the MCF Academy team enters the history books, winning the Andalusian Championships for the first time in this category.

For their part, the 2nd Alevín claimed a respectable third place. In the first match of the final four held on Friday, the Malaguistas drew (3-3) against Granada CF at full-time, however the rival claimed a place in the regional finals on penalties. In the match to determine third and fourth place on Saturday, the Blue and Whites came out on top against Cádiz CF by 1-3, to claim third place.

With these results, both teams bring an end to the 16/17 season and start their summer holidays until the next campaign.
