Recio: “We’ll give our all until the last drop of sweat”

The Blue and Whites’ captain attended to the media in the mixed zone following #ValenciaMálaga: “We didn’t expect this start, we’ll give everything in every game”.

Dynamic

“Clearly, the situation isn’t good, this moment we’re in now, anything can penalise us. It’s very difficult for us to lift our heads right now when the scoreboard isn’t going in our favour. I think until we conceded the second goal, we weren’t doing too badly, we were playing a good game. The rival had two opportunities in the first half, and converted one, whereas we had certain chances too. At the end of the day, football is decided in the areas, both upfront and behind. After the second goal, every attack from them was nearly a goal, there was a sense of constant danger”.

38 matches

“We didn’t expect this start. However, there are 38 games and we’ll give everything we’ve got until the last match. We’ve only played five, but we know we still haven’t got any points and that we’re going to suffer this year. We have to take pride and show soul, so that on matchday 38 we’re in the First Division”.

Give everything in every game

“Right now, the fans don’t deserve this start in LaLiga. The only thing I can say, speaking for myself, is I will give my all until the end, until the last drop of sweat, and until the last match. It’s going to be a difficult year, we’ll suffer and have to fight for every game. We’ve had a month of competition, and on Saturday face another match that we have to win”.
