Positive sensations
“It was important to regain sensations, and return to the team that defeated Barcelona at home. We needed to be strong at our home ground, which we haven’t been throughout the season. We secured two consecutive home wins and also maintained a clean sheet. These are all positive sensations, and what we’ve been looking for. We’re happy with this match, but now we need to think about Tuesday. As I said three days ago, we must end the season in the best way possible. When the fans come here, they should be full of joy. After a tough year, it’s what they deserve”.
First goal of the season
“I’m not used to scoring goals, it’s been two years since I’ve scored. I wanted to dedicate it to my son. Since he was born I haven’t been able to score (laughs). I’m so pleased, particularly after such a tough few months. I dedicate the goal to my family, who are always beside me”.
Very good first half
“In the first half, the team dominated ball possession, verticality and were solid in defence. In the second half, it was clear we’d need to move a little further back, as they have some quality players. We’re thrilled we kept a clean sheet, and didn’t allow the rival to get into the game”.
