“I was surprised by them at the start of play. It seemed as though we had control, but it was somewhat misleading, particularly at the start. They had some sporadic actions from the wings and were close to taking the lead. There, it was a far more vibrant match, much nicer for the scoreboard, more intense as they imposed a lot more rhythm.”

“I wasn’t expecting such a big win, it was quite misleading, not because of the goals we scored, but the fact we didn’t concede any. They had many opportunities, but were not successful. The positive aspect is that we have so much quality upfront, with destabilising players, that when they attack and leave spaces, we kill the result.”

“Above all, I remain with the attitude of the boys. It was a bit of a struggle at the start, but after the goal everyone loosened up and the crowd really got behind us. The players felt comfortable, with the most important factor being their growth phase playing at this stadium, in front of the public. Kuki has already played this type of game, but for many players it was a unique match.”

“We have another two matches coming up to help us continue to grow and keep the dream alive. There’s no ceiling to this competition for us, but we’ll keep our feet on the ground. Every knockout tie we get to will be more difficult. I think over and above the result, and qualifying to the next round, each game will be a test of maturity. In the end, the most important thing is the boys’ growth phase, some of whom are already in training with the first team, and others with Atlético Malagueño. In this type of situation is when you see the growth of players.”
