On cruise control, winning 15 out of 18 points

Málaga CF clinched their fifth win out of six matches in LaLiga. Sporting de Gijón, FC Barcelona, Valencia CF, Granada CF and Sevilla FC have all fallen against the Blue and Whites.

The best streak of the Malaguista team this season. A spectacular comeback in the final stretch of the competition, winning 15 points in six matches, scoring 11 goals and conceding four. Two against Barça, Valencia and Granada, one against Sporting and four against Sevilla.

Climbing up the League table, moving up four places, to go in front of Deportivo de La Coruña, Real Betis, UD Las Palmas and Valencia CF, and just two points behind the next team to visit La Rosaleda this Sunday, RC Celta de Vigo (20:45).

In addition, goals are just falling in the pocket of Blue and Whites’ ‘pichichi’, Sandro. He’s scored six times in the last six matches played. He scored another goal against Sevilla FC, which again led to victory for Míchel’s men. In total, the striker has netted 13 goals.

The youth ranks take on more and more of a starring role in the Malaguista coach’s plans. A total of four players from the MCF Academy were in the starting line-up for #MálagaSevillaFC, (see image gallery here), and nine of the 11 were Spanish (Luis Muñoz, Luis Hernández, Llorente, Camacho, Recio, Fornals, Ontiveros, Jony and Sandro). Miguel Torres, Keko and Juankar, also nationals, came on in the second half.
