Representatives from Málaga CF and CA San Lorenzo de Almagro; League ambassador, José Luis Astiazarán; and representatives from the organising companies, Fénix Entertainment Group and Direct TV got together to exchange gifts ahead of the historic Copa EuroAmericana clash between two Clubs from each side of the Atlantic.

Málaga CF’s Argentine-born Fernando Tissone is enjoying an intense few days in Buenos Aires along with his compatriot, Marcos Angeleri: “It’s very special for us to come to our country and see our families and friends. We’ve only got a few days to make the most of it, as it’s important that we continue to improve over the pre-season in order to start the League well and perform at our best in the upcoming matches.”

The ‘Malaguistas’ kicked off their second day in Argentina with a training session at the ground of local team, Deportivo Riestra, based close to the Nuevo Gasómetro ground. Despite clouds and a drop in temperature, it remained pleasant in Buenos Aires considering it is currently winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Blue and Whites underwent their first training session in Buenos Aires at CA San Lorenzo de Almagro’s stadium, the Nuevo Gasómetro, within the Liga World Challenge tour. The CopaEuroAmericana match is taking place on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. local time (1:30 a.m. in Spain).

The Club’s sports director, and former San Lorenzo player, Mario Husillos; coach, Javi Gracia; and Argentine defender, Marcos Angeleri were in charge of representing Málaga CF in the presentation of the EuroAmericana clash with Club Atlético San Lorenzo on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. local time (1:30 a.m. in Spain) at the Nuevo Gasómetro.

The Spanish-Brazilian striker scored his debut goal for the Blue and Whites against Deportivo Cali: “I’m thrilled. It’s always important for a striker to score goals. It was my first and I’m very happy. It was a shame we lost, but I think the team is on the right track,” affirms the striker.

The Blue and Whites left Cali airport on Monday at 2:30 p.m. local time (9:30 p.m. in Spain) for Buenos Aires, with a stop in Bogotá, for the second part of the Liga World Challenge tour. The team left Bogotá at 6:50 p.m. local time and following a six and a half hour flight, arrived in Buenos Aires at 3:30 a.m. local time (8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning in Spain). On arrival the Blue and Whites went straight to their hotel.

The Málaga Club de Fútbol goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa and his national team have been proclaimed the champions of the 2015 Gold Cup after Mexico defeated Jamaica in the final by 3-1.
