A clash of reserve teams as Atlético Malagueño take on Club Atlético Osasuna’s reserve squad in the first play-off for promotion to Second Division B, following this afternoon’s draw which took place at the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s headquarters (RFEF). The first leg is scheduled for next weekend in Pamplona, and the return leg in Málaga will be held on Sunday 31st May.

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team is in action on Sunday at 12 p.m. at the Guadix municipal ground for the last Third Division Group 9 regular match of the season against Guadix CF. The boys have secured second position and a place in the play-offs for Second Division B promotion.

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team has secured its play-off position in Third Division Group 9 second place, with one match left to go, following today’s win against Atlético Melilla by 1-0 thanks to a goal by Roy in minute 7, to achieve a 7th consecutive win.

Atlético Malagueño is hoping to prolong their winning streak – six consecutive victories – this Sunday at the ‘Federación Malagueña’ ground (11:30 a.m.) against Atlético Melilla. A win would also secure 2nd place in the table, which will be important ahead of the promotion play-offs to Second B Division.

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team achieved its sixth consecutive win in Berja, in this challenging match in which the ‘Malaguistas’ took the lead with a goal from Iván Rodríguez. Thirteen minutes later, Javilillo converted a penalty to equalise before half-time. In the second half El Ejido took the lead thanks to Darío Guti, but subsequent goals from Pablo Fornals and Álex Portillo turned the match around for the visitors in the final minutes.

The 36th Third Division Group 9 match of the season has been brought forward to Friday for the Blue and Whites’ reserve team, who is visiting El Ejido 2012 at the Berja municipal ground from 6 p.m.
