Atlético Malagueño deserved more from the first match of the 2014/15 campaign, against a well reinforced Linares Deportivo with early aspirations of promotion. Atlético Malagueño defeated OFK Belgrade by 0-2 in their first match of the under-21’s tournament, which pays homage to Russian goalkeeper, Lev Yashin. Víctor Ruiz and Ernesto Gómez scored for the Blue and Whites.

Following the first week of pre-season training, Málaga’s reserve team is travelling to Moscow on Sunday to compete in the under-21’s international tournament, the Lev Yashin Cup, kicking off on Monday 21st July.

It simply wasn’t to be. In just 10 minutes the Blue and Whites’ reserve team said goodbye to their victory hopes, despite a strong performance beforehand. Two set pieces and a counterattack led to three goals for the rival in this last match of the season.
