Atlético Malagueño are in the play-offs against Universidad de Oviedo hoping to achieve promotion to Second Division B. The draw was held this Monday afternoon in Las Rozas. The Oviedo-based side finished in second place in Third Division Group II, and will travel to the ‘Federación Malagueña de Fútbol’ ground next weekend for the first leg match, the return leg taking place in Asturias.

Atlético Malagueño scored a point during their visit to Villacarrillo, and continue to depend on their own results to achieve promotion to Second Division B. Josep Clotet’s boys will face Casino Real in their last match of the season on Sunday at 12 p.m., the rival currently in a mid-table position with just their honour at stake.

The ‘Malaguista’ reserve team scored five goals against Maracena in the 26th Third Division group IX match.

The long-awaited Atlético Malagueño - El Palo derby ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving Clotet’s boys two points behind Third Division Group IX leaders, Mancha Real.

Atlético Malagueño will face Club Deportivo El Palo on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the ‘Federación Malagueña de Fútbol’ ground, to determine Third Divison Group IX leaders. CD El Palo are currently in first place.

Atlético Malagueño defeated Alhaurín de la Torre in a hard-fought game, which leaves the Blue and Whites in second place in the league, just one point behind leaders El Palo, next week’s Third Division Group IX rival.

Atlético Malagueño was victorious over Ronda by 2-0 on Sunday, opening up their options to reach the top spot of Third Division Group IX. After 33 matches, Josep Clotet’s boys are now in third place, two points behind leaders, Mancha Real.
