Málaga CF proved once again its involvement with the city and endorsed the candidature of the 2019 European Capital of Sport by wearing the slogan ‘We are Ready’, representing Málaga sport.
The Blue and Whites’ players stepped on to the pitch wearing t-shirts of support, and posed against the canvas bearing the slogan ‘We are Ready’. Real Sociedad and its players also wanted to get behind the initiative and back the capital of the Costa del Sol.
These are key dates in the city of Málaga’s challenge, as the evaluation committee of ACES Europe (European Cities and Capitals of Sports Federation) are visiting Málaga, and in particular yesterday, they went to the facilities to assess the candidacy; La Rosaleda stadium.
Yesterday’s match day showed the city’s level of organisation, as the ACB Super Cup basketball game was also taking place. Málaga is experiencing great sporting achievements recently thanks to individual athletes, other sports with less media coverage, amateur sportspeople, the city’s network of facilities and the climate.
