Accompanied by Club vice president, Moayad Shatat, and sporting director, Mario Armando Husillos, Ignacio Camacho Barnola held a press conference at La Rosaleda, following his contract extension with Málaga Club de Fútbol until 2018/19: “I’m very grateful to the Club and feel extremely valued.”

Actor, Antonio Banderas, was in the VIP section of the Martiricos stadium to watch Málaga CF take on Villarreal CF this evening. Other famous faces from the city were also in attendance, including Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and Unicaja Basketball coach, Joan Plaza. They posed for a photograph with Club vice president, Moayad Shatat; Club adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar; director general, Vicente Casado; assistant director general Manuel Novo; and delegates from Villarreal CF.

Málaga Club de Fútbol will pay tribute to one of the most important goalkeepers in Málaga footballing history, Américo Canas Martínez, who sadly passed away last Monday. The Blue and Whites’ players will be wearing black armbands during tonight’s match against Athletic Club at San Mamés, in memory of the footballing legend.

Andrés Perales drove the ‘Flecha Azul’ and other buses for many years, taking the Blue and Whites’ players to stadiums all over Spain. One of these players, and later coach, was Antonio Benítez, who has some wonderful memories from the many hours he spent on the famous bus. Together we’re travelling back to the 1960’s to see what it was like travelling on this bus during that time. Come aboard!

On 3rd April 1904, the city of Málaga enjoyed its first ever football game. 110 years and a few hours later, on 3rd April 2014 at 2:15 a.m., Adrián was born at the Children’s Hospital in Málaga, the first ‘Malaguista’ born on this special anniversary. Málaga CF has marked this wonderful occasion with gifts and a visit from Club adviser, Antonio Benítez.

Before today’s Andalucían derby got underway, Málaga Club de Fútbol celebrated the 110th anniversary of football in the city. After both teams had completed their warm-ups, a canvas measuring 18 metres in diameter was displayed on the pitch, bearing the slogan, ‘110 years of history’. Eleven representatives from ‘Malagueño’ football over the years posed alongside the banner, along with Club vice president, Moayad Shatat.

It was a special day in Casablanca yesterday for Málaga CF adviser, Abdallah Ben Barek and another three legendary Moroccan players. A Málaga CF ‘Juvenil’ team defeated the Mirofoot Academy by 1-0, thanks to a goal from Marc Samper.
