Málaga CF supporters encouraged to wear blue and white for last match of the season at La Rosaleda
Málaga Club de Fútbol fans are once again drumming up support for the team on social networking sites, with the ‘ponte la blanquiazul’ trend, encouraging everyone to wear blue and white during the last home match of the season at La Rosaleda on Sunday.
Málaga CF’s last match of 2012/13 on Saturday 1st June at 9 p.m. against FC Barcelona
The final BBVA League match schedule of the 2012/13 season has been announced. All games will take place on Saturday 1st June at 9 p.m. Final times will however be confirmed after the 37th BBVA League matches this coming weekend.
Málaga CF’s pre-season presentation match confirmed against Aston Villa
The Blue and Whites have reached an agreement with Aston Villa to hold the presentation match in Birmingham at the Villa Park Stadium, on Saturday 10th August at 3 p.m. (local time). This match against Villa is the first confirmed game of Málaga Club de Fútbol’s 2013/14 pre-season. Málaga CF’s definitive schedule of stadiums and matches in 2013/14 will be announced shortly.

Málaga CF presented with the One2One award for tourism promotion
Málaga Club de Fútbol was presented with the ‘Sports Achievement’ award in Marbella by One2One, for the Club’s promotion of Málaga all over Europe thank to their historic debut performance in the UEFA Champions League. Málaga Club de Fútbol’s General Manager, Manuel Novo, received the award on behalf of the ‘Malaguista’ outfit.
MBC paddle tennis tournament at the Reserva del Higuerón
A number of companies that make up The Málaga Business Club took part in a paddle tennis tournament at the Reserva del Higuerón, with twice the amount of people taking part compared to last year. Málaga CF would like to thank everyone at Reserva del Higuerón for their collaboration in this event, and for all the businesses that took part in the tournament.
Willy suffers sprained medial ligament in left ankle
‘Malaguista’ goalkeeper, Willy Caballero was forced to abandon Wednesday’s match after he spectacularly saved a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty. Following a series of tests carried out today, the initial diagnosis has been confirmed: a sprained medial ligament in his left ankle. The Blue and Whites’ keeper is definitely out of Sunday’s match, and the recovery time is yet to be determined.
Competition Committee lifts second yellow card awarded to Demichelis
The Competition Committee has decided to lift the second yellow card awarded to Martín Demichelis, for the non-existent foul on Cristiano Ronaldo, following the allegations made by Málaga CF after Wednesday’s match against Real Madrid. The Argentinean-born defender won’t be included in Sunday’s line-up against Sevilla FC however, due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
