Málaga Club de Fútbol, represented by deputy director general, Manuel Novo, attended the Professional Football League’s (LFP) extraordinary meeting in Vigo. Head of all BBVA and ‘Adelante’ League Clubs were in attendance, as well as the head of the LFP, Javier Tebas and president of the Superior Sports Council, Miguel Cardenal.

Málaga Club de Fútbol via its Foundation, attended yesterday’s charity dinner for the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games project, as part of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation in India, held at Real Club Mediterráneo. The event was organised by Real Club Mediterráneo, with the Martiros Club and Real Club de Campo also actively participating in the project, following their recent association under the slogan, ‘United through Sport’.

The Málaga CF Foundation in collaboration with La Caixa celebrated Day of the Volunteer, bringing together over 200 children from the CaixaProinfancia organisation to enjoy a day of sport. Regional manager of CaixaBank in eastern Andalucía, Victorino Lluch; Blue and Whites’ player, Marcos Angeleri; Club adviser, Antonio Benítez; Club business development manager, José María Arrabal; assistant coordinator of La Academia, Francesc Arnau; Málaga CF veterans and volunteers from both entities made this day possible, under the slogan ‘Come and share a smile.’

The agreement passed to include Club Atlético Málaga into the ‘Malaguista’ family was presented this morning. This big day for women’s football in Málaga was attended by Club vice president, Moayad Shatat; director general, Vicente Casado; Atlético Málaga president, Ana Letamendi; and vice president, Isabel Guerrero.

Following more than four years of close collaboration between both clubs, Club Atlético Málaga, founded in Andalucía, is now part of the ‘Malaguista’ family, as Málaga CF would like to help the growth of women’s football. Tomorrow, Thursday at 12:30 p.m. the presentation of this agreement is being held at the Juan Cortés press room at La Rosaleda stadium.

Málaga Club de Fútbol is coming up against Atlético de Madrid at the Vicente Calderón stadium in the 12th BBVA League match of the season. Javi Gracia’s men are hoping to achieve their unprecedented sixth consecutive victory. The Blue and Whites’ Club, along with Málaga CF’s official agency, Halcón Viajes, have organised a travel package on the AVE high-speed train (return journey) plus a ticket for the match at the Red and Whites’ stadium (Saturday 22nd November, 4 p.m.) priced at 140 euros.

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Sergi Darder held a press conference this morning following his contract extension with the Blue and Whites. The Balearic Islands-born midfielder is pleased he’ll be with the ‘Malaguista’ Club until 2017/18: “Days like today are special. This renewal will allow me to finish settling into the BBVA League, and this is the ideal Club to continue to grow.”

During half-time of tonight’s match between Málaga CF and SD Eibar, Board member, Sheikh Nasser Al-Thani presented SD Eibar president, Álex Aranzábal with a commemorative silver boat ornament to mark their first visit to La Rosaleda in the First Division.
