Atlético Malagueño defeats CD Ronda (2-6) to mathematically secure their place in the promotion play-offs. Atlético Málaga comes away from La Rambla with a victory (2-4).

Atlético Malagueño defeated CD Ronda by two goals to six in the 36th Third Division Group 9 game of the season.  The Malaguistas dominated the match from the start, taking the lead very early on, in minute 4, thanks to Jaime Moreno.  The Venezuelan striker showed his good form and scored another three goals before half-time.  The state of play didn’t change too much in the second half, as Alejandro Mula scored the fifth Malaguista goal in minute 58.  The ample advantage didn’t deter CD Ronda, who scored two goals in two minutes, 60 and 61.  However, just when it looked as though CD Ronda would react, Daniel Mauri sentenced the game with a beautiful shot into goal, and a 2-6 win.  With these three points, Atlético Malagueño seal their place in the Second Division B promotion play-offs, maintaining the pulse for the leadership along with Atlético Mancha Real (80 points).

Atlético Málaga were victorious in their visit to La Rambla by 2-4, in a match that began as an uphill struggle for the Malaguistas.  The locals opened the scoring in minute 34, however Laura equalised just a minute later.  The scoreboard was even at half-time.  In minute 57 the Córdoba-based rival scored again, but the Malaguistas equalised four minutes later, thanks to Poti.  After all the back and forth on the scoreboard, the Blue and Whites settled on the pitch little by little, and dominated the game until Yamila in 76’ and Noelia in 85’ sealed the definitive 2-4 victory.  These three points keep Manuel Hernández Navarrete’s girls in fifth place of Women’s Second Division Group 4, with 55 points.
