Atlético Malagueño drew (1-1) against Loja CD to maintain the Third Division Group 9 leadership. Atlético Málaga achieved the same result in their visit to Extremadura.

Atlético Malagueño drew 1-1 against Loja CD in a match where equality reigned. The reserve team delivered the first blow with a goal from Jaime Moreno in minute 23. The Venezuelan striker outwitted the goalkeeper by netting a header following a corner. After half-time, both teams battled for ball possession until in minute 76 when Loja equalised thanks to Cazorla. In the final stages of play, the two sides both created chances, but the result didn’t change. With this draw, Malagueño maintains the top spot of Third Division Group 9 (54 points), with a three-point advantage over the second-placed team (Mancha Real).

Atlético Málaga drew (1-1) away to Extremadura. Manuel Hernández Navarrete’s girls took an early lead. Anita masterfully converted a free kick from the edge of the area in minute 9. With a goal advantage, the ‘Malaguistas’ generated the best chances of the first half, but didn’t have very much luck in the final metres.

After half-time, the local team closed the door very well on Atlético Málaga, not permitting them to dominate play. In minute 83 the referee sent off Blue and Whites’ defender, Poti with a double yellow card which considerably weakened the ‘Malaguista’ defence. With time almost up, Extremadura CFF levelled up the score board in minute 94 with another good goal from a free kick. This result keeps Atlético Málaga in fourth place in Group 4 of the Women’s Second Division (35 points).
