On 11th May 2003, Málaga CF’s team in the ‘División de Honor Juvenil’ category was proclaimed Spanish champions for the first time in history, after defeating RCD Espanyol 2-0 in Cambrils. The only member of that team, who is now a member of the Blue and Whites’ first team, Jesús Gámez, tells Málaga CF TV what winning that competition meant for the players and the Club. MCF TV interviewed Eliseu ahead of the Champions League match against Zenit, about his recent performances on the pitch and the maturity he’s reached as a player with Pellegrini. The Málaga CF goalkeeper has conceded the fewest goals both in the BBVA League and Champions League; just two in the last eight matches. These figures resemble that of the legendary Blue and Whites goalkeeper, Deusto, who passed away last year, and who was the only player to receive the Zamora Cup in the history of Málaga.

Málaga CF striker, Javier Saviola, appeared on MCF TV speaking about the forthcoming match against Zenit, in the first match of the Champions League group stage, as well as the last League match in which he scored a goal.

MCF TV had the chance to meet the coach in Venezuela who first introduced José Salomón Rondón to professional football. Ex Venezuelan footballer, Liberio Hernán Mora didn’t hesitate to give the 17 year old player who excelled on the pitch on the streets of Maracay, a chance to play professionally. He was called Rondón, and today he plays for Málaga and the Venezuela national team.

Málaga CF’s consultant advisor, Francisco Martín Aguilar, the highest-ranking member of Blue and Whites expedition in Venezuela, who yesterday shared his birthday with a national fiesta, is once more witness to another landmark in Málaga’s history: the Club’s first tour in a South American country.

Venezuela-born Málaga striker, José Salomón Rondón, will defend the Blue and Whites colours in two friendly games in his home country, where he’s seen as a true hero. MCF TV caught up with Rondón on his arrival in Caracas.
